12 GHz LN Fiber Optical Transmitter/Converter – Turnkey
The EOCV series Fiber Optical Transmitters (Electrical-to-Optical Converters) provide high-fidelity analog and digital optical signals from electrical inputs, supporting a wide frequency range of DC to 10 GHz. These user-friendly turnkey modules integrate a Lithium Niobate Fiberoptic Modulator, a DFB laser with driver, an automatic bias controller, high-performance control circuits, and a DC power supply, into a convenient plug-and-play benchtop unit. The benchtop unit features a front switch to select between three modulator bias modes: Peak and Null for high on/off contrast, and Quadrature for superior linearity in E-O conversion. The laser output power is also adjustable via a front rotating knob, allowing users to fine-tune output settings.

Each transceiver consists of a DFB laser transmitter and a PIN detector receiver pair. They are available in wavelengths of 1310nm, 1490nm, and 1550nm, offering versatile wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) capability. For instance, bidirectional communication can be established using a single fiber link by employing two different wavelength transceivers along with matching WDM diplexer cable adaptors. One common setup involves pairing a 1310nm laser with a 1550nm detector at one end combined using a WDM diplexer, and a 1550nm laser with a 1310nm detector at the other end combined by a diplexer.

40 GHz Fiber Coupled Balanced Photodetector / Photoreceiver
The GHBD Balanced Photoreceiver is designed for high-speed analog and digital light detection, offering exceptional performance with a differential gain of approximately 2800 V/W and a bandwidth of up to 40 GHz. It features two waveguide-integrated PIN photodiodes and a limiting amplifier in a compact SMD package with matched fiber lengths. The limiting amplifier delivers a differential output voltage swing of approximately 600 mV. The device achieves excellent electrical and optical phase propagation with a total skew of less than 5 ps between balanced signal paths and 10 ps total skew for all fiber pairs. Independent DC output voltage monitoring is available for OUTN and OUTP, and each amplifier path includes a threshold control at the linear amplification stage to optimize the differential output signal.
