Deep-sky astrophotography
Two-stage TEC, ΔT ≥45 °C helps control thermal noise during long exposures of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.
Deep-sky cooled
ToupTek ATR183C is a cooled deep-sky camera using the IMX183 sensor, with 19.8 MP (5440 × 3648), 2.4 µm pixels and 18 fps. Designed for deep-sky astrophotography, one-shot colour deep-sky imaging, high-resolution galaxy and lunar imaging. Available from Precisometer for professional astronomy systems.

Application context
Choose the ATR183C when your telescope and target benefit from 1-inch, 13.06 × 8.76 mm sensor coverage, 2.4 µm sampling, two-stage TEC, ΔT ≥45 °C and 380–690 nm response.
Two-stage TEC, ΔT ≥45 °C helps control thermal noise during long exposures of galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.
The colour IMX183 sensor captures broadband targets without a separate LRGB filter sequence.
2.4 µm pixels balance image scale and detail for appropriately matched telescope focal lengths.
12-bit acquisition, 75 dB dynamic range and regulated cooling support repeatable quantitative observations.

Technical FAQ
Mount: M42 / M54 astronomy adapters. Use a lens image circle that covers the sensor and check flange distance before adding C/CS, F-mount or M42 adapters.
Sensor: Sony IMX183 color CMOS · Sensor Type: Back-illuminated color CMOS. Match pixel pitch to the diffraction-limited spot the optics deliver. Sampling finer than the optics resolve multiplies data volume without adding information; sampling coarser discards resolution you have paid for.
Frame Rate: 18 fps · Interface: USB 3.0. Confirm the host can sustain the interface bandwidth continuously, not in burst. A camera that outruns the write path stalls acquisition rather than dropping quietly to a lower rate.
Dynamic Range: 75 dB · Read Noise: 2.6–1.4 e⁻. Judge these figures at the exposure time you will actually use. Cooling matters where dark current accumulates over seconds; read noise dominates short exposures where it never does.
Tell us your sensor, resolution, spectral range, frame-rate, interface, and software requirements and we will confirm the matching configuration and lead time.
