Pulse energy, repetition rate, pulse width
DPS-532-B532 nm green Q-switched pulsed laser
532 nmThe DPS-532-B is a 532 nm nanosecond diode-pumped solid-state laser. The specified pulse energy is 5–15 mJ. Select energy, timing and cooling for the same configuration. Laser diodes optically pump a solid gain medium inside a resonator. The pump supplies the energy; repeated passes through the gain medium amplify the laser light. Q-switching stores energy in the gain medium while resonator losses are high, then lowers those losses to release a pulse. Pulse energy and repetition rate must be considered together, because changing the pulse spacing changes the average power for a fixed pulse energy. Pulses shorter than 10 ns deliver the energy in a brief interval; pulse energy and focused spot size determine the intensity at the sample.

Select energy and timing together
Specify pulse energy, repetition rate, pulse duration, trigger requirements and cooling for the same configuration. The maximum energy and maximum repetition rate can describe different variants. Energy per pulse is quoted in μJ, mJ or J; pulse duration is quoted in ps, ns or ms.
