Broadband lamps & plasma sources
Silicon Nitride Infrared Source
A thermal infrared emitter with gold-coated collection optics and a DC supply. The source provides a broad infrared spectrum without water cooling for infrared illumination and monochromator systems.

Best suited to
Broadband infrared spectroscopy and thermal-source illumination.
Selecting a configuration
Match the collection optics, filters and detector to the usable infrared band. The emitter range is broader than the range delivered by a configured monochromator system.
Measurement & configuration
- Gold-coated reflector with published reflectance above 96%.
- f/4 collection geometry and adjustable source height.
- No water cooling required.
Plan the signal path
- 1SiN thermal emitter
- 2Infrared collection optics
- 3Infrared experiment
