Pulse energy, repetition rate, pulse width

FS-H-515B515 nm green pulsed laser

515 nm

The FS-H-515B is a 515 nm femtosecond fiber laser. Pump energy is supplied to an active fiber, which guides the light and provides optical gain as it propagates. Output coupling then delivers the amplified beam to the experiment. Pulse duration sets how briefly the energy is delivered, while repetition rate sets the interval between pulses; average power alone does not describe the peak intensity at the sample. At the nominal 80 MHz repetition rate, pulses shorter than 150 fs arrive about 12.5 ns apart. An integrated acousto-optic modulator controls intensity by diffracting light, allowing fast power modulation after the light is generated. The stated optical loss through this stage is 15%. The quoted power range represents factory-set configurations; specify the required output rating when ordering.
