FS-H-1030D1030 nm near-infrared high-power pulsed laser

1030 nm

The FS-H-1030D is a 1030 nm femtosecond fiber laser. Pump energy is supplied to an active fiber, which guides the light and provides optical gain as it propagates. Output coupling then delivers the amplified beam to the experiment. Pulse duration sets how briefly the energy is delivered, while repetition rate sets the interval between pulses; average power alone does not describe the peak intensity at the sample. Pulses shorter than 250 fs deliver the energy in a brief interval; pulse energy and focused spot size determine the intensity at the sample. An integrated acousto-optic modulator controls intensity by diffracting light, allowing fast power modulation after the light is generated.
