FS-H-1030B1030 nm near-infrared pulsed laser

1030 nm

The FS-H-1030B is a 1030 nm femtosecond fiber laser. Pump energy is supplied to an active fiber, which guides the light and provides optical gain as it propagates. Output coupling then delivers the amplified beam to the experiment. Pulse duration sets how briefly the energy is delivered, while repetition rate sets the interval between pulses; average power alone does not describe the peak intensity at the sample. At the nominal 80 MHz repetition rate, pulses shorter than 150 fs arrive about 12.5 ns apart. An integrated acousto-optic modulator controls intensity by diffracting light, allowing fast power modulation after the light is generated. The stated optical loss through this stage is 15%.
