Pulse energy, repetition rate, pulse width

AO-K-560560 nm yellow Q-switched pulsed laser

560 nm

The AO-K-560 is a 560 nm pulsed diode-pumped solid-state laser. Laser diodes optically pump a solid gain medium inside a resonator. The pump supplies the energy; repeated passes through the gain medium amplify the laser light. Q-switching stores energy in the gain medium while resonator losses are high, then lowers those losses to release a pulse. Pulse energy and repetition rate must be considered together, because changing the pulse spacing changes the average power for a fixed pulse energy.
