Technical FAQ

Configuration questions for Laser Viewing Card

What wavelengths does the Laser Viewing Card cover?

Wavelength Range: 250nm-450nm. Check the specification at your angle of incidence. Coating bands and grating efficiency curves are quoted at a reference angle, and both shift as that angle changes.

What size is the Laser Viewing Card?

Dimension(mm): 15×50. Clear aperture is smaller than the physical part, and the mount that holds it takes more again. Size the optic from the beam diameter at that plane, including the margin the mount consumes.

How much optical power can the Laser Viewing Card take?

CW Damage Threshold (kW/cm²): 10. Damage thresholds are quoted for a pulse duration, wavelength and beam diameter. Scale them to your own conditions rather than reading the headline figure as a rating.

What is the Laser Viewing Card made from?

Coating Material: Down-conversion fluorescent materials. Substrate and coating decide thermal behaviour and cleaning method as much as optical performance. Confirm both before the optic enters a high-average-power or vacuum path.
