Pulse energy, repetition rate, pulse width

FS-H-780A780 nm near-infrared pulsed laser

780 nm

The FS-H-780A is a 780 nm femtosecond fiber laser. Pump energy is supplied to an active fiber, which guides the light and provides optical gain as it propagates. Output coupling then delivers the amplified beam to the experiment. Pulse duration sets how briefly the energy is delivered, while repetition rate sets the interval between pulses; average power alone does not describe the peak intensity at the sample. At the nominal 80 MHz repetition rate, pulses shorter than 100 fs arrive about 12.5 ns apart. The quoted power range represents factory-set configurations; specify the required output rating when ordering.
