Application context

Why this design is used

Application guidance is tied to the configured wavelength, fiber interface and optical-budget fields for this family.

Optical power control

Linear Digitally Control MEMS Variable Attenuators: Optical power control depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1260~1650nm, 460nm, 630nm, 780nm, 850nm, 1060nm, 2000nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility. The fiber/interface entry (SM 28, 50/125, 62.5/125, SM460, SM600, Hi1060, PM1550, 780HP, PM460, PM630, PM780, PM980, SM2000) must match the connected components.

Receiver calibration

Linear Digitally Control MEMS Variable Attenuators: Receiver calibration depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1260~1650nm, 460nm, 630nm, 780nm, 850nm, 1060nm, 2000nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility.
