High Speed Variable Fiber Optical Attenuator 950-2400nm, 18dB

NHOA The NS Series Variable Fiber Optical Attenuator (VOA) provides electrical control of optical power. This is achieved using our patent-pending non-mechanical configuration and activated via a voltage electrical control signal. The solid-state optical crystal design eliminates mechanical movement and organic materials. We have designed the NS Series Variable Optical Attenuators to meet the most demanding operational requirements of ultra-high reliability and fast response time with minimal mechanical footprint. Our also offers customized electronic designs to meet special control requirements and applications. The switch is bidirectional. The NS Series VOA is available in either normally-transparent or normally-opaque configurations.

Application context

Why this design is used

Application guidance is tied to the configured wavelength, fiber interface and optical-budget fields for this family.

Optical modulation

High Speed Variable Fiber Optical Attenuator 950-2400nm, 18dB: Optical modulation depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1060 nm, L Band, 1310 nm, 1410 nm, 1550 nm, 1950 nm, 2100 nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility. The fiber/interface entry (SMF-28, HI 1060, PM 1550, PM 1400, PM 1310, PM 980, PM 1900, PM 2000) must match the connected components.

Time-resolved measurement
