High Power 1×2 High Speed Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 18dB On/Off

NHSW, NHHW The NanoSpeed™ Series 1×2 solid-state fiber optic switch connects optical channels by redirecting an incoming optical signal into a selected output optical fiber. We achieve this using patent non-mechanical configurations with solid-state all-crystal designs, which eliminate the need for mechanical movement and organic materials. The device is intrinsically bidirectional and exhibits variable coupler behavior, allowing light to be transferred from one port to another without loss. The NS fiber optic switch is designed to meet the most demanding switching requirements, offering ultra-high reliability, fast response time, and continuous switching operation. The switch is intrinsically bidirectional and can be selected for polarization-independent or polarization-maintained operation according to the fiber type.

Application context

Why this design is used

Application guidance is tied to the configured wavelength, fiber interface and optical-budget fields for this family.

Optical signal routing

High Power 1×2 High Speed Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 18dB On/Off: Optical signal routing depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1060nm, 1310nm, 1410nm, 1550nm, 1750nm, 980nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility. The fiber/interface entry (SMF-28, HI1060, PM1550, PM980, MM50/125) must match the connected components.

Automated fiber test

High Power 1×2 High Speed Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 18dB On/Off: Automated fiber test depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1060nm, 1310nm, 1410nm, 1550nm, 1750nm, 980nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility. The fiber/interface entry (SMF-28, HI1060, PM1550, PM980, MM50/125) must match the connected components.

System integration

Integration and compatibility

Use these checks to connect High Power 1×2 High Speed Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 18dB On/Off to the surrounding optical, mechanical and control system. Every value shown is taken from this model's own specification record.

Optical interface and fiber
Fiber Type: SMF-28, HI1060, PM1550, PM980, MM50/125 · Fiber Cover: Bare fiber, 900um tube
Specify connector polish and fiber architecture together. FC/PC, FC/APC and SMA interfaces, and single-mode, multimode and polarization-maintaining fibers, impose different return-loss, mode-field and alignment requirements.
Wavelength and loss budget
Wavelength: 1060nm, 1310nm, 1410nm, 1550nm, 1750nm, 980nm
Check the Optical Switches passband, insertion loss, return loss and power handling at the actual source wavelength; a nominal telecom-band label is not a substitute for the configured range.
