Dual-Stage High Power 1×1 Fiber Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 35dB On/Off

NHSW The NS Series dual-stage 1×1 solid-state fiber optic switch connects optical channels by redirecting an incoming optical signal into a selected output optical fiber. This is achieved using patent-pending non-mechanical configurations with solid-state all-crystal designs, eliminating the need for mechanical movement and organic materials. The dual-stage series of NS fiber-optic switches is designed to meet the demand of high cross-talk in addition to ultra-high reliability, fast response time, and continuous switching operation. The switch is intrinsically bidirectional and selectable for polarization-independent or polarization-maintaining by the fiber type. Our PCB driver listed on the web is recommended to operate this device, featuring high efficiency and low cost with 12V DC power and TTL control signal.

Application context

Why this design is used

Application guidance is tied to the configured wavelength, fiber interface and optical-budget fields for this family.

Optical signal routing

Dual-Stage High Power 1×1 Fiber Optical Switch: 10W, 100ns, 35dB On/Off: Optical signal routing depends on preserving the optical budget through the complete path. The 1060nm, 1310nm, 1410nm, 1550nm, 1625nm, 1750nm, 980nm wavelength specification sets source and detector compatibility. The fiber/interface entry (SMF-28, HI1060, PM1550, PM980, MM50/125) must match the connected components.

Automated fiber test
