Small differences in everyday drinks

Bozhena gave a clear and engaging presentation, connecting her work with a familiar question: how does sugar affect the way a drink feels?

Sugar influences more than sweetness. It can also make a liquid slightly more viscous, which means regular soda can be a little thicker than its zero-sugar counterpart. In her presentation, Bozhena explained how microrheology with MicroRheo can detect these subtle differences and help us explore one aspect of mouthfeel.
